DELTA — Ian Paton, MLA for Delta South and BC Liberal Agriculture Critic announced that he will be endorsing Kevin Falcon in the 2022 BC Liberal Leadership election. Paton release the following statement:
“There is no one more qualified to be the next leader of the BC Liberal Party than Kevin Falcon, and I am proud to offer him my support and endorsement.
Midway through my second term as MLA for Delta South, my assessment is that the BC Liberal Party needs to be reorganized from the ground up. Only Kevin Falcon has the experience and organizational skills to get this done.
Kevin will change our party’s name, and attract fresh, young, and diverse candidates from across the province. He will open up the party to bold and visionary ideas that will put BC back on the map.
Without question, Kevin Falcon has the vision, leadership, and communications skills to take on John Horgan, and win.
Kevin comes with a proven track record of getting things done — after four years of going nowhere under the NDP, our province needs a jump start. We need to build transportation infrastructure, housing, and hospitals again.
The NDP studies. Kevin builds.
As a third-generation farmer and agriculture critic, I am also convinced that Kevin understands the significant challenges that farmers are facing under this NDP government. It’s not farmland without farmers, and Kevin will fight to ensure that agricultural producers are once again able to make a decent living on their own land.
I want to get back to building a prosperous British Columbia so that my grandchildren can grow up with opportunities to succeed. Kevin shares this vision, and he has my full support.”
